Meet Tailfeather
Haystack Needle’s branding team was founded in 2012. Under the name Nomeni, we built a reputation as a nimble, client-focused agency that could create iconic corporate identities on timelines that would make larger firms run for the hills. With our gamified brand naming process and logo design approach, we’ve produced countless brand identities for our corporate clients.
In 2022, we decided to spread our wings and rebrand as Tailfeather.
Why We Rebranded
Our rebrand signals our company’s expanded ability to offer a broader suite of brand strategy services. Sure, we still help brands take flight with sticky names and elegant designs, but tail feathers don’t just serve as pretty marketing tools; they create extra lift and help stabilize and steer once airborne.
We found in Tailfeather a factor that delights us most in naming: multiple meanings. Yes, it harkens to ornithology and the various attributes of those tail feathers found in hawks, peacocks, roosters and more. It also nods to the “shake your tail feather” impetus to get things done quickly (apt? yes). And to hit the tilt button, it is also a reference to the contagious groove of the Ray Charles classic soul song, “Shake a Tail Feather”.
